Lillian is the CEO, founder, and up until recent expansions, the cook behind TrailFork. As an avid hiker and backpacker, Lillian found it ironic that so many dehydrated trail food meals come in packaging that is harmful to the very planet she found herself exploring. Lillian decided to ditch the plastic and mystery ingredients that are found in most of the mainstream dehydrated meal pouches and set out to create her own.
This venture quickly proved to require extensive research to find a balance of nutrition, taste, and packability. Any backpacker knows that every extra ounce of weight on the trail adds up - however so does each carb burned. Lillian was determined to make meals that packed in the carbs and protein to insure she wouldn't find herself hungry. Once mastered, Lillian quit her job, enlisted the help of her friends Kira Hill-Filben and Cristyn Hypnar and started TrailFork out of a local industrial kitchen.
Today, Lillian’s company is focused on protecting the environment, providing equity in representation, and the general promotion of fun - all things we can definitely stand behind.
Each dehydrated meal is crafted with quality ingredients, provided in numerous vegan options, and wrapped up in lightweight bio-degradable packaging. The company is also 1% for the planet!
