Materials And Care
- 18-8 Stainless Steel, Polypropylene, Silicone
- Care Instructions:
- Hand wash all parts with a neutral dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge, making sure not to use a dishwasher, microwave, or chlorine bleach
- Dry thoroughly: Let all parts air dry completely before reassembling
- (Regularly inspect and properly seat the silicone rings so the slit faces the bottle)
- Deep Cleaning (Stains & Odors):
- For stains, soak with warm water mixed with oxygen bleach or baking soda;
- If you notice mineral buildup, odors, or minor rust spots, soak the body and disassembled parts in warm water with citric acid (about a 10:1 ratio or 3g per liter) for 1 to 3 hours, then wash with dish soap
- Do not close the lid while soaking: Leaving the lid tightly sealed during a chemical soak can cause dangerous pressure build-up
- Avoid chlorine bleach: Never use chlorine bleach, as it causes stainless steel to rust
- Silicone Ring & Lids Maintenance
- Reassemble correctly: The KINTO Travel Tumbler uses two silicone rings (a smaller one for the upper lid and a larger one for the inner cap)
- Ensure both are installed with the slit facing toward the bottle, and inspect yearly by checking silicone rings and gaskets for wear
